Six apple trees with a variety name beginning with the title of ‘king’ have been planted along Anstey Way, leading to the Foster Road Estate and the King George V playing fields. As a matter of interest, one of the varieties is in fact called King George V.
Twelve apple trees which are all named after ladies have been planted at the King George V playing fields in Trumpington. Eight of the trees have been planted as a ‘circle’ in an area of wildflower planting behind the children’s playing area and a further four have been planted alongside the tennis courts. Thank you to the many volunteers who came to help.
