Our Vision

To collect and plant two of every variety of registered UK apple trees in alphabetical order, as a collection to be nurtured, maintained and enjoyed by residents and visitors to Cambridge.

Get Involved

We are looking for volunteers who are keen to get involved with planting, adopting or simply watering and keeping an eye out for the trees as they establish themselves.

You don’t need to have any previous experience, just enthusiasm.

Year the Variety was First Registered: 1825

Raised by Richard Cox in Slough, Buckinghamshire, this remains a very popular and commercially grown apple. First grown commercially in 1862, it is a variety which is as popular naow as it was back then.
